Here’s a round-up of my top 5 Cricut Maker projects and why I love crafting with a Cricut Maker machine!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

Today, I’m rounding up my top 5 Cricut Maker posts. I love the Cricut Maker machine because of it’s adaptive tool system. The adaptive tools include the Rotary Blade, Knife Blade, Single Scoring Wheel and Double Scoring Wheel, Wavy Blade, Perforation Blade, Debossing Tip, and Engraving Tip. That’s a whole lot of awesome tools! Not only does the Cricut Maker use the adaptive tool system, but it can use the Fine Tip, Deep Cut and Bonded Fabric Blades that the Cricut Explore Machine uses.

I’ve rounded up my top projects below and I am highlighting which Cricut Maker tool I used to make each one.

Felt Flowers with the Cricut Maker

I love making felt flowers with my Cricut Maker. The rotary blade is a game changer for felt cutting. It can cut through HUNDREDS of different fabrics from delicate tulle to thicker fabrics with ease. It has a gear which allows complete control over the blade. This means the machine can control if the blade is moving left or right, up or down, and it knows which direction the blade is facing.

I don’t cut a ton of fabrics, but I do lots of felt crafts. Selecting “Felt Fabric” when you are making felt flowers allows you to use the rotary blade and have perfect cuts! No more tearing or dragging of your felt.

Faux Leather Earrings with the Cricut Maker

I love these easy earrings I created with my Cricut Maker. I used the Fine-tip blade to cut the faux leather and the iron-on for this project. The Cricut Maker comes with a fine-tip blade when you purchase a new one. This blade is great for cutting lots of different materials. I mainly use it for vinyl, iron-on, and cardstock projects. I wanted to highlight this project because it doesn’t use the adaptive tool system, but there are so many possibilities with just the Fine-tip blade.

Mother’s Day Gift Box with the Cricut Maker

The reason I love my Cricut Maker for this project is the Scoring Wheel!  Cricut Explore machines have the Scoring Stylus but the Scoring Wheel has the ability to use up to 10X more pressure than the Scoring Stylus. This allows you to create crisp creases in thick and thin materials and to make perfect folds! The Cricut Maker Scoring Wheel tool is perfect for making homemade gift boxes.

Wood Home Sign with the Cricut Maker

These last two projects I’m sharing are really my bread and butter. I love using the Cricut Maker Knife Blade for wood projects! I created this Home Sign in Cricut Design Space and then cut out wood using my Knife Blade. This blade is the answer to cutting thicker materials like mat board, balsa wood, heavy chip board and of course WOOD!  For each type of material that the machine cuts, Cricut has optimized the pressure for each pass so you get the cleanest cut possible.

This is also a favorite and top project I made with the Cricut Knife Blade and basswood. Again, I love that I can cut real wood with the Cricut Maker and make awesome projects with more depth.
