HOW TO PERSONALIZE MUGS WITH CRICUT

Creating fun, personalized mugs is so easy with the Cricut and Cricut Mug Press! I’ll show you how I made these cute stackable smiley face mugs that are perfect little gifts.

This is a sponsored post brought to you by Cricut. All opinions are my own.

Stackable Smiley Face Infusible Ink Mugs made with Cricut Mug Press

One of the best parts of having a Cricut is being able to whip up a custom gift for a friend or family member in no time at all. Have someone that’s hard to shop for? You can customize a gift just for them! Not only is it awesome because you handmade them something, but its also so nice to be able to personalize gifts.

Cricut Mug Blanks all come with a little box so they are ready to give away! Just pop them into their little box and you have your cute little gift.

I’ve been seeing cute smiley face cups on social media, and I wanted to make some of my own. I think the smiley face is cute and gives off vintage 90s vibes. Right?

Cricut Mug Supplies:

Cricut Machine
Cricut Mug Press
Cricut Stackable Mug Blanks 4 pack
Infusible Ink in Rose Peak and Bright Teal
Cricut StandardGrip Mat

Cricut Mug Press, Cricut Maker 3, Stackable Mug Blanks, Infusible Ink

Instructions:

To make the same mug designs as I did, open the Design Space File HERE.  Click on Make It.

Make to sure to mirror your images since you are using Infusible Ink.  Carefully place your Infusible Ink on the mat.  Cut out your design.  Remove the Infusible Ink gently by turning over the mat, and removing the mat from the design. This will prevent it from curling.

Before you being weeding, plug in your mug press so it can heat up.

Weeding Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet

Carefully weed the Infusible Ink Design. Even though the design has an edge on it, I remove all the Infusible Ink and just leave the smiley faces and flowers.

Placing Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet on Stackable Mug

Prepare your mug by wiping with a clean cloth or lint rolling. Place the mug so the handle is perpendicular in front of you. Take your Infusible Ink transfer sheet and place it flat on the table, making sure the center of the wrap lines up with the handle on the other side. Bring it towards the mug and wrap it around. Make sure to press it all on firmly.

The light will turn green when it is ready. Place your mug in the press, making sure the handle is centered when its close so the entire design is covered.

Now the machine will do the rest of the work. The blinking lights at the top will light up as the machine works, and once they are all lit up, the machine will beep that it’s complete. This process usually takes around 6 minutes, but it depends on a few factors, like the temperature of your room etc.

The handle of the mug will not be hot, but the rest of the mug will be very, very hot! Remove with caution. I like to place mine on an EasyPress mat to cool down. Allow the mug to cool for 15-20 minutes. Once your mug has cooled down you can remove your Infusible Ink transfer sheet. (Although, I have to admit, I usually can’t wait that long and carefully remove it when the mug is still a little hot!)

Repeat the process for all the mugs and designs.  Now you have the cutest little stackable mug set that is a great gift!
