CAMPING HAT WITH THE CRICUT EASYPRESS MINI

I love the newest addition to the Cricut EasyPress family-the Cricut EasyPress Mini! It’s perfect for smaller projects, like this camping hat I made.

Seriously, the EasyPress mini is the cutest thing. But not only is it cute, it’s perfect for those small iron-on projects like hats, cuffs, pockets and even stuff animals!

I have never attempted to make a hat before because it would have been too awkward to press with the larger EasyPress machines. But this EasyPress Mini fits perfectly in my hand and I can get those small details on with ease.

I was also excited to try out the new Cricut Mosaic Iron-on. I love it’s unique look. One tip is that there are TWO liners with this new iron-on. You weed one to remove the excess mosaic dots and then you apply your iron-on. Afterwards make sure to remove BOTH liners.

Materials for Camping Hat:

Cricut Machine
Cricut EasyPress Mini
Cricut StandardGrip Mat
Cricut Weeding Tools
Mosaic Iron-on
Black Iron-on
Baseball Cap

Instructions:

Open the Design Space link found HERE for this exact hat design.

Click on Make It and select Mosaic Iron-on from the materials list. Make sure you place your iron-on face down on the mat and that you have mirrored your image. Repeat with your black iron-on.

Cut out and weed your designs. I find it so helpful to use my Cricut tools for weeding especially with intricate and tiny designs like this one.

Now you are ready to apply your iron-on. Make sure to check out Cricut’s HeatPress Guide HERE to get the correct temperatures and instructions for all your projects.

For this hat I used medium heat to apply the iron-on. First, I applied the mosaic iron-on then removed BOTH liners with a warm peel. Next, I applied my black iron-on on top.
